Coming to the Sonoma Coast every year for the past 25 years I dreamed of someday calling this amazing area home. In 2004, after being diagnosed with MS, I decided it was time to focus on my dream. After watching the area real estate listings diligently for the next 7 years (for just the right opportunity and fit) it finally happened . Christmas Eve 2010 we decided to pack up the dog and take a road trip to check out the home as soon as it was listed. It was in total disrepair from years of neglect. The outside of the house from the roof down was rotten. The inside was better, but required much work. I loved the layout and location of the home. I have always loved interior design and decorating...and decided to accept the challenge. Several years of work and a lot of weekends later... The Bay View is now a cozy coastal retreat. It has been a true labor of love.  Here are photos of what the house looked like the first time we saw it in December 2010.
